Another Day, Another Spectacular Russian Disaster

Remember when Vladimir Putin told you that the Russian economy was an “island” and a “sanctuary” from the failure of Western economic policies?  Remember how, shortly after that, in 2008, the Russian economy was the worst performer during the global economic downturn, which saw the Russian stock market lose three-quarters of its value?

Keep that in mind as you remember how Putin told you that the Russian space program would leave the West in its dust, serving as the reliable conduit into space as the U.S. space shuttle program was shuttered.  That claim was just as false as Putin’s lie about the economy, as the latest in a long string of spectacular Russian space disasters has just shown.

Now, keep all that in mind as you reflect on Putin’s promise to keep the 2014 Olympics safe from terrorism, because rebel leader Doku Umarov has just announced total war on those games.

You are raising a very important question, Kim: should the international community surrender to terrorism? our answer has always been the unequivocal “yes”!.

You are not alone. There are hundreds of other terrorism supporters who share your view. After 9-11 they demanded that the international federations never hold international athletic events in the USA. After the Boston marathon bombings, they now demand that no more running events be held in the USA.

Here’s the mistake you are making: You are assuming that Russia is qualified to host the games but for terrorism. It’s simply not. Russia had no venues in place, Sochi is a beach resort, Russia invaded Georgia and illegally annexed its territory, and Russia’s airways are the most dangerous in the world. That’s to say nothing of Russia’s barbaric assault on Olympic values like diversity (Russia has just condemned gays and made all gay athletes unwelcome) and democracy.

Here’s the other mistake: Russia hates the USA and Europe. The very idea of asking the citizens of those countries to risk their young athletes’ lives so Russia can stand up to terror is an offense to the intelligence of flea.

” That’s to say nothing of Russia’s barbaric assault on Olympic values like diversity (Russia has just condemned gays and made all gay athletes unwelcome) and democracy.”

That’s hilarious coming from a person like you, little Kim, who voted Yes and Prop 8 and supported DOMA. Still can’t grasp that Putin and yourself are in the same boat when it comes to “traditional family values”.

As for Olympic values, I never thought I’d find myself saying this, but for once in your life, you’re right. And I commend you for the hard work and effort you must’ve put into that. Except that foreign athletes will not be in danger from Chechen rebels; but from neo-Nazi skinheads.

  2. Russia is and has always been the heart of darkness.

Terrorism is synonym with the KGB-FSB of Andropov/Putin.

From Andropov, we remember the thousands of small Finn children butchered by the partisans of the KGB in the Continuation War.

From Putin we remember the 25,000 small Ethiopian children murdered in the dead of the night by the Dergue-KGB for merely refusing to wear a ridiculous communist uniform…

  3. > From Andropov, we remember the thousands of small Finn children butchered by the partisans of the KGB in the Continuation War.

Tell me, Ming, as a member of the British Commonwealth, how many hundreds of thousands of small children in South Africa, other Africa, India, etc have you guys butchered? How many small Native Canadian children have your predecessors butchered?

    > From Putin we remember the 25,000 small Ethiopian children murdered in the dead of the night by the Dergue-KGB for merely refusing to wear a ridiculous communist uniform…

Putin – a right wing fascist – forced “25,000 small Ethiopian children” to wear communist uniforms and then slaughtered them?

    > From Andropov, we remember the thousands of small Finn children butchered by the partisans of the KGB in the Continuation War.

What “small Finn children” were butchered by partisans? What were partisans doing in Finland? And what does Andropov have to do with this? And what does your drivel have to do with Sochi Olympics? Your senility is getting worse by the weeks now.

You must be talking about hundreds of thousands of little Russian children that were starved to death by the brutal multi-year joint Nazi-Finnish siege of Leningrad.

Vlad Rottenbog, you should start repeating along your friend and highly valued contributor to Kim’s blog, Manfred Kleinschwanz: One Katyn a day keeps Poles at bay. That phrase alone would illustrate the extent of the Soviet/Russian barbarity.

As if we haven’s red Solzhenitzyn and so many others to know the thing or two about KGB reign of terror…

Your example shows that a slave shall always be a slave…

      • Manfred Steifschwanz ⋅

It’s interesting that whenever a petty bourgeois sets out to “prove” the rottenness of the Soviet Union and Joseph Stalin, the argument presumes what was allegedly an open question. “As we all know…”, forever invoking the plural form “we”. This readily translates into: “We’re a bunch of self-opinioned Westerners forever spouting worthles tripe learned by rote”. This is why National socialism is the socialism of Westerners. Flag-waving, rabid Amurrrkans prove this point superbly. Russia will eventually have to deal with them, just as they dealt with Nazi Germany.

      • Beetlejuice ⋅

“One Katyn a day keeps Poles at bay.”

Not as long as the Volhynia’s keep Polish-Ukrainian brotherhood strong and unbreakable.

Hey, how do you keep a Polak down?
Drop a penny down a latrine, he’ll be down there all day.

        • Bohdan ⋅

Hey Beetleurine!!! Your so called jokes are PATHETIC!!! But then so is your warped commo brainlessness. That is both go hand in hand to prove beyond any reasonable shadow of a doubt what a commo imbecile you really are.

Next you’ll be telling all that the Earth is flat and that the sun rotates around mother Earth! Right ‘tovarish’?

Apart from this, Ming has provided many times in the past the links to the Soviet/Finish war so his statements are 100% true.

I have also red the book about the Soviet invasion of Finland but it was some 15 years ago and that book has supplied enough examples of Soviet barbarism during that war.

Obviously, Fins were wrong joining the Germans against Soviets, however it happened after they themselves have experienced the threat of annihilation from the Soviet hands and believed that they were acting in a self defence.

So did Ukrainians who have lost 10 million of their folk during HOLODOMOR that Stalin and his henchmen have launched to subdue Ukraine.

Another day another spectacular dose of ignorant misinformation shat out by larussohater. Yeah, space travel is tough, and in Kim ‘Joopa’ Zigfeld’s tiny brain, the Russkies suck at it. Apparently this conclusion means that the US of ‘Ey sucks even more. Here are some facts Joopa either failed to disclose out of ignorance or conceit, or, more likely, failure to actually support the “Russians Suck at Space” meme with even a minimum of resarch:

Here’s the real story – the percentage of all global space launches ever attempted, Russia 60%, US 30%. For the low-brow bigot Joopa constituency, this means that Russia launched twice as many rockets to space historically as did the US of ‘Ey, and continues to launch twice as many per annum to date. Now, for the real deal-breaker – the percentage of overall successful launches historically, Russia 93%, US 90%.

Hmmm, that was easy to debunk. And no, I’m not gonna reveal my sources and give away my 45 seconds of research value for free – go look it up yourself.

Part 2: Terrorism’s a bitch, and Russia is a lot closer to the source than US of ‘Ey. But rest assured Joopa, the Omon will be present in their masses, and unlike the PC US of ‘Ey, there IS profiling, so instead of orifice-probing 2 year olds, and 90 year old wheelchair bound grandmothers groped and humiliated like happens in Uh-merikkka, they’ll be boot-throating anyone that looks the “role”. Your cheerleading for a terrorist act to spoil the 2014 games is deplorable, (and you WILL take orgasmic pleasure in pointing to Putins failure in preventing it, you know you will).

Hey Cretinofan, would you be so kind and bother to visit the glorious blog Englishrussia.com ?

There are two things they are frequently show:

      The Soviet/Russian military hardware

      And the RUSSKIJE DOROGI…

Even from watching the blog that has turned from the lively critic of Putler to his enthusiastic a**e licker, one can draw an obvious conclusion that all that the Putlerists are capable of producing are arms (not the highest quality though) and sputniks.

All the rest (and the Russkije dorogi in particular) is as functional as the hanging prick of alcohol saturated komsomolec.

    • larussophobe ⋅

      SJIH:

      You are simply deranged.

First of all, it’s really sad that you seek to justify and rationalize Russian failure rather than to seek reform and improvement. That attitude led the USSR to collapse. Routinely exploding rockets can’t just be dismissed so frivolously.

If Russia is so great at space travel, why has it never once landed a man on the moon? Are you REALLY suggesting that since Russia sends a lot of rockets into space it’s just fine IF THEY EXPLODE LIKE CLOCKWORK? Are you aware that brilliant, competent, world-leading Russia HAS THE MOST DANGEROUS AIRWAYS IN THE WORLD for passenger travel? By the way, THANKS SO MUCH for your links documenting the facts you cite. It’s really impressive how attentive you are to documenting facts.

It’s pretty hard to “rest assured” about terrorism when you know how spectacularly wrong Putin was about the economy in 2008. If he was wrong about that, he (and you) could be just as wrong about Russia’s ability to protect the games from terrorism.

You are quite right, of course, in saying that Russia is much closer to the source of terrorism. AND THAT IS WHY THE GAMES SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN PLACED IN SOCHI. Duh.

      • sjihlarussophobe ⋅

It’s even more impressive how inattentive you are to researching facts before grandstanding on a tragedy to exlempify the inferiority of Russia on anything you glean from a 30 second internet trawl for dirt. If you are too lazy to support your conjecture with fact, then maybe you should try something different instead of trying to act like an expert on all things Russia. What I am saying is statistically the US of ‘Ey has a lower success rate for space launches than Russia, so your claims of spectacular failure ‘like clockwork’ is pure bunk.

Then, assigning blame to Putin for the financial collapse wrought by the criminal US of ‘Ey banksters on the rest of the world goes beyond the pale. At least Russia didn’t borrow the money against future taxpayer (read: slaves) revenues to bail out the banks and keep them whole like the Obombercracy did to their buddies on Wall St., they actually had “cash on hand’ to limit the damage and let the chips fall where they may.

And further, to try to equate this last point with with ability to deter terrorism is like connecting the dots between the price of cheese with the orbit of Saturn. But by issuing his fatwa, Umarov has given the authorities an advantage. I imagine the crackdowns have already begun!

A little advice: if you insist on continuing to take out your aggression on all things Russian (to help them as you claim), at least stop aggrandizing every flaw you percieve and then drawing comparisons to the infallible Uh-merikkka, and come up with solutions.

  5. 99.9% of war pictures are faked propaganda…here’s an extremely rare exception:
    http://www.ww2incolor.com/d/566481-4/417PX-_1
Here you see a Finn tossing a grenade and in the foreground three dead soviet soldiers…within the minute dead of a mad dictator’s idiocy…the Finns were actually on Stalin’s side, they hated the nazis and considered them total evil…but Iosip gave them no choice, Germans gave food, Russians shot bullets…as usual, of course!

Great discussions, guys! You are doing a great job ignoring Kim and her boring posts about the economy and talking about Katyn instead.

      A Katyn a day
      Keeps the Polaks at bay

      • Bohdan ⋅

And that would be your sick forte! right comrade Manturd.
I can picture you in an NKVD uniform and with a Russian ‘nagant’ revolver in one hand, dispatching these unfortunate Poles at Katyn. As only someone sick in the head, like you, would be proud of a dastardly act, commited by your beloved NKVD untermensh mass murdering soviet scum.

You are a real hell of a commo psycho if ever one existed.

    • Bohdan ⋅

Hey rottenburro from the Ozark Mountains. Your comment ” You are doing a great job ignoring Kim and her boring posts” shows you up for the brainless communist Turkey you really are. No one but no one forces you to read LR brilliant posts – only your stupidity does, and then you cannot understand her honesty – so go on and be a turkey and explain rationally why you blame her for what comes naturally to you, i.e. your stupid idiocy???
